Bempton Cliffs nature reserve is best known for its breeding seabirds, including the northern gannet, Atlantic puffin, razorbill, common guillemot, black-legged kittiwake and fulmar.

 

Between April and August each year, almost quarter of a million seabirds arrive at Bempton and make the cliffs come alive. There are adults bringing food to their nests and young chicks making their first faltering flights, creating a unique and very special experience.

Open: The reserve is open at all times.

The Seabird Centre (including toilets) is open from 9.30am - 5pm in summer, and 9.30am - 4pm in winter.

Entry cost: Free to RSPB members.

Adults £6, Children: First child free then £3. Under 5s free.

Useful info: It is also possible to shoot the cliffs from the sea and to try to catch the gannets and gulls diving for fish. You can book a ‘chumming trip’ out of Bridlington, but you need a strong stomach and a steady hand.
